Guojie Zhang

Professor Guojie Zhang is a leading expert in biodiversity genomics and ecological evolutionary genomics. He currently serves as a Chair Professor at the Center for Evolutionary & Organismal Biology at Zhejiang University and holds an adjunct professorship at the University of Copenhagen. Professor Zhang has spearheaded numerous major international projects focused on the evolution of animal genomes, encompassing key evolutionary nodes, including primates, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish, and insects. His research primarily explores speciation, extreme environmental adaptation, organism-environment interactions, and the evolution of social behavior. He has published over 250 research papers in prestigious international journals, with 42 of these appearing in Nature, Science, and Cell.
