Shenali A. Ranasinghe
I am a Hons. degree graduate in Immunology and Integrated Molecular Biology from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and a current PhD candidate enrolled at the Sir Peter MacCallum Department of Oncology, University of Melbourne. My research focusses on investigating the molecular interplay between RNA polymerase II transcription cycle and the epigenetic network along with their implications for cancer therapy. I have previous research experience in Immunology and Population genetics and am now focussed on gene expression control with the hopes of contributing to the discovery of better therapeutic approaches in cancers caused by transcriptional dysregulation.
