JERALYN WEN HUI CHING 46th Lorne Genome Conference 2025

JERALYN WEN HUI CHING

Hello. My name is Jeralyn Ching, and I'm a first-year PhD student in the King Lab at WEHI. Originally from Singapore, I completed an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University. My interest in the genetics of autoimmune diseases began during the 2023 InSPIRE internship at WEHI, where I worked with Dr. Hamish King to develop a CRISPRa system for studying regulatory elements in the genome. My current research focuses on understanding how non-coding genetic variants associated with autoimmune disease affect gene regulation in primary cells, particularly B cells. Outside the lab, I enjoy reading and catching the latest variety shows and movies.
