Shreya Agarwala

Shreya Agarwala is a first-year Master of Philosophy student by research in the Gecz Neurogenetics Group in the Adelaide Medical School. Shreya is working on the project “Modelling THOC2 syndrome using a patient-derived iPSC model of neuronal differentiation.” Last year, she completed her Bachelor of Science (Advanced) at The University of Adelaide with a GPA of 7/7. Shreya conducted research on the functional validation of PCDH12 pathogenic variants as part of two third year course placements. Her projects on THOC2 and PCDH12 variants implicated in neurodevelopmental disorders highlight Shreya’s keen interest in understanding the consequences of genetic variation on early brain development.
